History

Playing golf since the age of 4…Meaghan credits her parents as the individuals most influencing her career…Qualified for the Tour on her second attempt. LPGA Tour Victory: 2007 MasterCard Classic

Meaghan Francella has always personified grit and toughness, rising from a star junior player in New York to a college All-American at the University of North Carolina to a winner on both the Symetra and LPGA Tours. I was the golf writer for the New York Times in March of 2007 when Meaghan, making just her sixth LPGA start, took down Annika Sorenstam in a four-hole playoff. That victory has stayed with me. Annika was the game’s dominant player, a one-name superstar. Some players might have buckled in that one on one situation. Meaghan simply would not be denied, rolling in a 4-footer for birdie to close her out. It spoke volumes about the makeup of Meaghan, a grinder whose skills and self-belief carried her to one of the great moments in LPGA history.  Meaghan – with that fighting spirit, strong skill set and steely nerve – knows what it takes to be great.  —Damon Hack – The Golf Channel

what My Students are Saying

Testimonials

Meaghan has done incredible work with me on my golf game, improving my swing, my ball striking and my course strategy.  I started to see improvement immediately when we started working together and that progress has continued every step of the way. Meaghan helped me make hit the ball better, but she also helped me understand how the various parts of my swing work together. She has given me a greater understanding of the game that has translated to better scores and faster improvement.  Meaghan is the best! —Dave McCabe

Meaghan and I began working together last season and the changes in my golf game were almost immediate.  Meaghan’s outgoing personality, positive attitude and desire to help me improve cannot be overstated.  At our first session, Meaghan identified areas to work on and in what order.  We started with the basics, i.e., grip, stance, ball position, etc., that had not been a focus of my earlier golf instruction. Meaghan’s recommended drills have made a dramatic difference in speed, distance and confidence.  Perhaps the best part of her coaching is that she enjoys seeing the improvement almost as much as I do! —Paula Flynn

I have taken lessons from Meaghan beginning spring/summer 2021 and will be continuing this year.  Hands down best golf instructor I have ever taken a lesson from, and there have been a few.  Meaghan is professional and extremely knowledgeable.  Best part, she does not get all technical.  You leave the lesson confident, knowing what you need to work on and seeing results! —Marianne Deane

Meaghan has a palpable passion for teaching, a sharp eye for the golf swing and an ability to communicate with her students in a way that is tailored to how each student, as an individual, best learns.  Most effective instructor I have ever worked with. —Jim Briggs
